A Note From the Farm

Weddings here since 2015.

We've hosted weddings on this farm since 2015. The farmhouse has stood on this land for about 170 years; the barn came later. Couples get the whole place for the weekend: the barn, the field, the flower rows, and the bridal suite in the farmhouse.

The Barn

Hand-hewn beams,
string lights to the rafters.

The barn is the primary event space: 3,600 square feet on two levels, hand-hewn beams, chandeliers and string lights overhead. It holds 225 guests. The field in front holds 225 more for an outdoor ceremony, with the barn doors or the Champaign County hills behind you.

Cocktail hour moves out to the brick patio and the fire pit. Photographers use the flower fields, the farmhouse, and the open land as the backdrop.

We grow cut flowers here on the farm. Elizabeth oversees the field herself and sells bouquets through the season. Peonies bloom in late spring; wildflowers run through late summer.

Couples can add farm-grown florals to their wedding day, and we host flower dinners in the barn between weddings.

Me and my wife had our wedding here a few weeks ago and everything turned out great. From the rehearsal dinner, to the bridal suite, to the ceremony, to the reception, it all worked out perfectly. Both Cassie and Hallie gave us a tour of the venue and answered any questions we had before the weekend of the wedding. I literally cannot rave enough about how INCREDIBLE this venue is, let alone the AMAZING people who help run it. Cassie helped us from viewing, to reviewing, to viewing again — answering every question, comment and concern faster than lightning across a variety of contact methods. Never once did we feel like anything less than the most important couple they were hosting. And Jillian, who helped coordinate everything, was beyond perfect. From the final walk-through to arranging and rearranging things for us, she was a blessing to have. She made sure everything ran smoothly even when it began to rain, and made sure the day was perfect. We couldn't be happier to have started our marriage here. I own Jean-Leigh Photography LLC and this was our first time shooting at Wren Farm. The venue is really unique and I loved all the different spaces and photo opportunities. Beautiful farm, and I loved the farmhouse that's available for the bride getting ready. The venue coordinator, Cassie, was so helpful throughout the day. Even when obstacles were thrown her way due to the weather, she handled everything with a smile. My team and I look forward to any future opportunities to work with this venue.

This was a beautiful place for a wedding. Service was outside on a sunny day. It was interesting to see the elements of the old barn. I rather appreciated the rustic setting and seeing the building structure of the barn itself. All in all, a perfect venue for the joining of two lives starting their journey together.
